This Christmas, we wanted to roast something sweet, nutty and full of festive cheer — and this beautiful coffee from Costa Rica felt like the perfect fit.

From Matinilla La Libertad, this special lot brings together coffees from the highlands of the Central Valley and Tarrazú, where generations of small coffee growers have worked hard to produce something truly special.

The story behind Coopelibertad R.L. began back in 1961, when a group of 267 small coffee growers came together with a simple idea: that by joining forces, they could create a better future for themselves and their families. More than sixty years later, that spirit of independence and community remains at the heart of what they do.

And that's what we wanted this coffee to be about — good people, great coffee and something worth sharing.

In the cup, you'll find rich hazelnut, festive pecan and delicious chocolate, making it a wonderfully comforting coffee to enjoy on a cold Christmas morning, alongside a mince pie.
